Brisbane offers a full calendar of cycling events throughout the year. There’s something for everyone – from beginners and families to seasoned professionals.
Tour de Brisbane – Sunday 5th April 2020
4 rides to choose from: 120km Gran Fondo, 60km Medio, 30km Piccolo and 8km Community Ride.
Great Brisbane Bike Ride inc. Mt Coot-tha Challenge – May 2020
One ride, one goat, one challenge. Riders can choose to ride the 40km, 75km or 110km route. Starts and finishes on Riverside Drive at West End. 2000 participants.
MS Brissie to the Bay – June 2020
Riders can choose to ride one of 4 distances – 10km, 25km, 50km or 100km. All courses start and finish at Musgrave Park, West End. Helps to raise money to support people living with Multiple Sclerosis, the most common incurable chronic neurological condition to affect young adults in Australia. 5500 participants.
Velothon Sunshine Coast – July 2020
Gran Fondo style mass participation event. 1 or 3 day Velothon. For seasoned riders.

Brisbane to Gold Coast Cycle Challenge – September 2020
Riders can choose between the 60km and 100km courses. This event aims to get more people cycling more often and helps to fundraise for the Heart Foundation. Heart disease is Australia’s number one killer.
100km course starts at the Eleanor Schonell Bridge, St Lucia. 60km course starts at Olivers Sports Comples, Eagleby and both courses end at Southport Parklands.

Queensland’s newest bike ride with a focus on family and fun. Held on the Sunshine Coast. 3 rides to choose from – 10km, 45k and 80km. All courses finish at the Caloundra Football Club grounds, Meridan Plains.
